CWGS hosted German Consul General, Annette Klein

On January 25th, 2018, the Center for Women's and Gender Studies hosted German Consul General, Annette Klein, to kick off FIU's inclusion in a global poster exhibition on "Women in STEM." The event was held in GC 355 and was standing-room only by the end of the event. Center for Women's and Gender Studies Director, Dr. Yesim Darici, introduced the hour-long talk about the importance of women's representation in underrepresented fields like STEM. She then closed it out with a lively Q&A.

The 24 portraits of women pioneers in STEM fields will be displayed here at FIU for one month. They will be located in the Green Library on the 7th floor, as well as in the CWGS conference room, located in DM 212.
