Great get-together at our lecture: Armenians in Post-Genocide Turkey

Lerna Ekmekcioglu is a historian of the modern Middle East and an affiliate of the Women and Gender Studies Program. On Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, she joined the CWGS and SIPA to deliver a talk about Armenians in post-genocide Turkey. Many faculty, staff, and students came out for this interdisciplinary event so that they could understand how gender and class affects coexistence and conflict in modern Turkey. The event ended successfully with a wine and cheese reception where those in attendance were able to ask more questions and engage more personally with other scholars on similar subjects.
